Description:

Pumpable self-levelling mortar with normal setting for levelling and smoothing from 5 to 50 mm thickness of new or pre-existing surfaces. Specially designed for the laying of light and wooden floors.

Uses and fields of application:

Floor repairs in both new construction and refurbishment.

Levelling and smoothing of concrete, ceramic and natural stone floors.

It is suitable for heated floors. This product is only suitable for indoor use.

Properties:
  • Normal setting; walkable after 24 hours, re-coatable after 7 days.
  • Pumpable and self-levelling.
  • Thanks to its fluidity and extension, it achieves very smooth surfaces with high planimetry.
  • Compensated shrinkage (no cracking).
  • High adhesion and hardness, both bulk and surface.
Support:
  • Hydraulic pressed tiles.
  • Coarse heavy concrete.
  • Old floors that are healthy and have good adhesion to the substrate (always eliminating dust, grease, saltpetre).
  • Concretes and mortars as support must have a strength of 12 Mpa.
Precautions:
  • Perimeter jointing should always be used and it is recommended to cut the structural joints in the concrete.
  • Do not add more water to the product than recommended.
  • Do not apply on floors with permanent damp or susceptible to capillary rising damp.
  • Do not apply to metal substrates.
  • Do not apply to extensions or at temperatures outside the range of +5Cº and 25Cº.
  • Do not apply subsequent coats without prior preparation of the substrate.
Presentation:

It comes in 25kg bags and is packed on a pallet of 50kg.

IMPLEMENTING RULES

Preparation of the support:

The substrate shall be sound, dry, free of dust, grease and other impurities that could hinder adhesion.

If necessary, the substrate shall be mechanically treated by mechanical abrasion or shot blasting.

This process is always necessary on ceramic or natural stone and similar substrates.

Any cracks or fissures in the screeds must be repaired beforehand with MR TRIX.

 

  • On porous substrates: Apply PRIMER DUR primer. Apply 2 coats of primer crosswise, the first diluted 1:1 with clean water and the second pure, leaving the necessary time between coats for the primer to dry to the touch.
  • On non-porous substrates: Apply epoxy primer ECOPOXI PRIMER NP saturated with quartz aggregate. After suctioning off the excess aggregate, apply LEVELAND 5/50.
Preparation of the dough:

Pour the product into a bucket with 4 - 4.5 litres of clean water, stir and mix with a low-speed electric mixer until a homogeneous, lump-free, self-levelling mixture is obtained.

Allow to stand for at least 3 minutes and mix again lightly to start applying the product.

The amount of LEVELAND mixed at a time should be the amount necessary to be used within a maximum time span of 60 minutes (at 23°C).

Do not add more water than indicated to the product as this may cause settling of the mass and weaken the mechanical properties of the mortar.

Product application: 

Spread the material in a single layer between 5 and 50 mm thick using a levelling trowel. It is advisable to pass the spiked roller within the allowed open time to help release any trapped air.

LEVELAND is suitable for application by plaster pump. If more than one coat is applied on a dry surface, the substrate must be primed again as described in the substrate preparation.

Once the application has been completed, it must be protected from draughts, direct sunlight and excessive temperatures. For the application of parquet the recommended minimum thickness of LEVELAND is 5mm.

In case of urgent applications it is important to control the moisture content of the product by means of an electronic or carbide hygrometer.

Performance:

Consumption is 1,9Kg per m2 and mm of thickness.

Cleanliness:

The material can be cleaned fresh under running water. After drying, mechanical means are required.

STORAGE CONDITIONS

The shelf life of the material is 12 months from the date of manufacture, provided it is stored in a dry place and protected from the weather.

Levelling of interior floors, by application of a normal hardening, heavy-duty, self-levelling cementitious plaster for thicknesses up to 40 mm. (Leveland 5-50). The substrates must be dry, solid, dust-free, sound, compact and possibly consolidated or primed with suitable products (such as Primer Dur or Ecopoxi Primer).
