From an energy point of view, solar energy is one of the renewable sources of energy. whose installation, management and use is more accessible to individuals, or companies.
Depending on where they come from and how they are processed, they will correspond to the different types that exist:
* Solar Thermal Energy:
This system takes advantage of the heat provided by the sun. Solar radiation is converted into thermal energy to heat a fluid that can be used for various purposes such as heating or domestic hot water. There are 2 types of Solar Power Plants, namely Thermoelectric plants which heat a fluid to obtain steam to drive the turbine that generates electricity; and wind farms.
* Photovoltaic Solar Energy:
It is this system that dominates the reaction of silicon that converts light into electrons. This type of solar energy allows the direct electricity generation from solar radiation. It is a type of renewable, inexhaustible and completely clean energy, which can be produced in installations with Photovoltaic Solar Panels.
One of the big advantages of this technology is that it is modular: panels can be used for the self-consumption (to provide electricity in homes or buildings) or also to supply the electricity grid through large power plants.
* Passive Solar Energy:
This system is one that can use direct sunlight without the need to transform the energy flows for use in the home.
* Wind energy:
This is the energy that is obtained from the wind, is the use of the kinetic energy of air masses.
At present, the wind energy is mainly used to produce electricity, which is achieved through wind turbines connected to the large distribution networks of electrical energy, among others.
The WIND FARMS The new generation of ground-mounted wind turbines represents an increasingly cheap and competitive source of energy, even cheaper in many regions than other conventional energy sources, and can provide electricity in isolated regions that do not have access to the electricity grid.
* Offshore Wind Energy:
This is in the same way as the onshore wind energy, an application of the force produced by the wind. The difference with respect to that obtained on the ground lies in the fact that the wind turbines are located offshore.

* Hydropower:
Harnessing the energy of moving water. Run-of-river hydroelectric power plants are used in rivers with a regular flow that flow through very rugged terrain, diverting the water flow towards the turbines that generate the electric current.
Once the electrical energy has been obtained, the diverted water is returned to the river bed, thus understanding that the production of electrical energy depends in this case on the diverted flow, which is usually quite uniform due to the type of river in which it is located.
* Biomass:
The most important application of thermal biomass is to obtain heating and domestic hot water. The use of biomass as a fuel requires that it be purchased from companies dedicated to its commercialisation, and there are biofuels that, due to their characteristics (calorific value, humidity, ease of handling and storage) are considered optimal for use in energy generation. This is the case, for example, of olive pits, pallets, wood chips, nut shells, etc.
* Geothermal energy:
Geothermal energy is stored in the earth's interior in the form of heat. Thanks to this type of energy, we can meet our heating needs by means of a heat pump for renewable heating and cooling.
It must be taken into account that the temperature will be different depending on the geographical area where we are and will determine the possible energy use:
* Very low temperature (<40ºC). It is used for air conditioning and cooling by means of heat pumps, buried or vertical pipe networks.
* Low temperature (between 40ºC and 90ºC). Direct use in spas and heating.
